How Life Being Away From Home

Celebrating Holidays With Friends
Ever since, I used to celebrate holidays mostly alone. If friends or co-workers were inviting me, I might go. When I am alone, I celebrate- music played with high volume, little preparation enough for myself. I am contented being alone, but there are times when I remember back to how we celebrate holidays. It hits me that I felt the difference being away with family during special occasions. A celebration, like a holiday, is a family day- the ambience and the atmosphere that surround you makes you happy from every angle, maybe because you know all the people – friends, relatives, and even neighbours can invite you for a short dinner or snacks.
Being alone on the holidays can only have a temporary feeling of emptiness. After midnight, it is back to normal.
When I am alone during holidays, I watch movies or listen to music, anything that keeps me busy. It is my way to avoid loneliness and feeling empty.
At this time, being away from the family can’t feel anymore because of the technology that helps the family to connect—just a click of your device, and you can see them and talk, unlike before it took a while before you could reach them.
At Christmas time I celebrate alone at home. Because of the pandemic, neighbours were celebrating inside their houses. I played my favourite Christmas songs and other disco music, dance, and dance. I had fruit salad and sliced bread. It was enough for me. I watched movies or shows on YouTube to avoid boredom while waiting the midnight. And I celebrate my Christmas happy
A friend and former co-worker invited me to celebrate New Year with them. The celebration was good. I had fun. And a lot of food, salad, cake, and anything. I ate a lot and got bloated, hehe.

The Power of Prayers
The Power of Prayers
I am not a prayerful person but it doesn’t mean I am bad. I
pray when I am in need…when I am asking for something. I am not a churchgoer as
well- where attending mass every Sunday until it becomes a habit.
I have to be honest every time I went to church I can’t hold
back my feelings I cry. I have no idea what does it mean but honestly, my tears
just drip into my face. Yes, I am a sinner I admit it. I admit that I committed
a lot of sins God knows about it.
I remember when I was in a situation where I could nowhere
to go to church is my go to place. There was one time I couldn’t breathe because
of problems there was this convent that I went to. I sat there for a couple of
minutes to have a breather when out of nowhere a nun approached me, tapped my
shoulder, and gave me a little leaflet. I forgot what was in the leaflet because
that was a long time ago, I just remembered the leaflet. But, for me, it means a
lot and I was thinking there was a sign on it.
Yes, I am not a prayerful person but in my head, I am talking
to God. I don’t know if that would consider a prayer but whatever that is I never
forget God. God is my breather.
Prayers contributed a lot to our souls. Constant prayers
make you closer to God and blessed you in so many ways. What I meant was you
will be surprised by the blessings that you don’t know where they came from.
Praying a Rosary. I went to catholic school both my 2 years
in high school and 4 years in college. I lived in a place near the church. I was
influenced by a friend I met accidentally, who happens to be my sorority
sister. We were board mates back then. She has a prayerful family that at some
point influenced her too.
Every time she had an appointment she always invited me to either a prayer meeting, a small get-together, or even a sleepover in her real house
outside the city. She led by example in my spirituality. And to be honest it impacted
me a lot that I am able to depend on God every time I am in trouble, in every situation I am in that it is so heavy.
Coronavirus made me insane. Made me paranoid. I don’t wanna
die and I am scared to die. I am really scared because I am not really yet to
die. I am still enjoying life despite difficulties along the way but I am
savoring the creation of God. Until now I am still amazed at his creation—a breath-taking
creations.
I became paranoid when I have to go outside although I am following
protocols still this contagious is scary. I don’t wanna go out but I have
to otherwise I maybe die of starvation.
Since the pandemic started along with my dreams to make it
happen I become a prayerful person. There is no night that I am not able to
have my rosary. My rosary helps me give more time to soul search and talking to
God at the same time. I have more time to know about myself and God.
In my prayers I am not praying for myself but the entire
world—my family, friends, siblings, relationships, and many other things. I am
praying for peace, love, and happiness.

The Journey Of Losing Weight
Never in my wildest dreams could I be this determined. I always wanted to lose weight, but I could not make it to make it happen. I am aware that I gain weight every time I eat. Every time I eat food that is not healthy, I know something is not good to happen--the stored fats accumulate double. Our body depends on what we eat. The fitter we intake, the better our body can function beautifully. All vital organs can work according to their jurisdiction. How funny it seems that our important organ is like police personnel, their authority to watch for.
It all started when enhancing community quarantine had been imposed to contain the spread of the deadly virus called coronavirus. Companies applied the work-from-home except for those who work in the food industry or the front line, like doctors, nurses,s and military personnel.
Everybody is staying at home for quite a while makes you gain weight because you have nothing to do but eat-sleep-eat. No activity can burn stored fats.
After two weeks of nothing to do, I admit I gain much weight. I was shocked when I looked at myself in the mirror. Oh, My God! That's the only word that came out of my mouth.
The following day, I grabbed my shoes and laptop, played upbeat music, and danced in front of the mirror. At first, it was hard to drip your sweat right away. I didn't force myself; I wasn't in a rush. I listen to my body. I don't want muscle pain; otherwise, I will force myself to stop the workout for a few days or wait until I am okay.
I started to lessen my carbohydrates from three cups to two cups and began to eat more fruits. Fruits that are rich in protein and fiber are good for the body.
When my body was ready for no more rice, it was easy. The transition was good; I didn't feel dizzy and hungry. I feel hungry but not hungry like you are dying to eat; it's more on craving but manageable. I drink lots of water because water can fill the hunger.
Unfortunately, I didn't weigh my weight, so I have no idea how heavy I was, but I know that it needs a lot of work based on my body shape.
As we age, our metabolism works slowly. It is why fats are stored fast and cause blood circulation not to function normally.
Let's bare in mind Health Is Wealth.

My Take On Coronavirus

Determination
It seems when we want something very important we work hard for it, no matter what happens or no matter what it takes. The road to being determinant lies in our desire because the desire motivates us to take the pain. That certain pain is painless. it doesn't matter anymore.
How To Become DETERMINANT?
Your determination depends on your desire and dreams. Determination is like food. The hungry you are the focus you want to get it. If you aim high, the bigger your desire and that you are determined. A person becomes successful because of their hunger, and determination. These two things have been a factor on the road to becoming successful. Success is not always about wealth, money, and assets. Success came from different dimensions in our lives. People were successful because they achieved academically- doctorate, or something, others will call it successful because they find a solution to their problem and many more strategies.

One of the events and I never forget was the passing of my beloved father. I am guilty of things that I was taken for granted off. And now more than ever I am I have a chance to show my affection to my family and loved ones.
The past years' experience taught me a lot. And from this lesson, I've realized to be obedient at times especially to our parents. I admit I was once hard-headed because I stand by what I believed in. There are things that you want to conquer while in life crises. I had so many insecurities, no self-esteem, no self-confidence, and always in doubt when making a decision. The negative thoughts come in to bother you until you become weak. I spent glasses of tears crying because the load I was carrying was really difficult.
When one time I went to church crying hard and didn't notice there was a nun coming to me giving leaflets. The church is my outlet when I am in a difficult situation. When I have problems, the church is my go-to place.
I think forgiveness is one factor to make a person moved on, to make a person happy. It doesn't matter how long and when to forgive. It is the hardest part but it is only the one way to have peace of mind. There is no amount of wealth and money the moment you forgive - the sigh of relief is so momentous.
God gives us time to repent, to think, and to search. The sin we committed is forgivable in the eyes of our Almighty, only when asking forgiveness there is repentance. The repentance will make you a brand new person. The moment you changed by repentance, the blessings become easy to come unexpectedly.

The Dried Fish
"Once you try it you can find it"
Just Today
After a while, we went to bed as it was already 12:00 midnight already and there is work the next day. I did not get sleep right away thoughts are playing on my mind. I just let that thought playing until I close my eyes.
At 7:30 in the morning where all going up. I cooked our breakfast. We had meatloaf rolled with egg, coffee, rice, and fried dried fish. That breakfast made us full. While chewing and sipping there was sharing of personal life, personal experiences..some were serious and some were funny. The funny side was were all both laugh loudly as if we don't have neighbors. The neighbors are just a few steps away. They can hear our loud voices.
An hour had passed, when all things are set and ready. we all go to work and start our day well.
"Unpredictable"
I know a few, and for me, that is very hard to deal with because you don't when you enter, when you gonna blow you jokes. You are hesitant to say something. what you did is to keep your mouth SHUT. I always deal with that kind of attitude.

Spending Quality Time

My back is killing me...
We play hide and seek most of the time. My playmates are my cousins and neighbors. One day when we play hide and seek I was hiding in the curtain not knowing that there was a hole down below. Upon my step. I grabbed one of my playmates and we both fell all the way straight to the hole.
I never tell my parents about what happened because I know my father will get angry and he might spunk me. I didn't know that my right arm was dislocated I just knew it when I raise when I'm preparing to get ready for bed that I can't raise my arm and in pain...still I didn't tell my father.
Crying
It is an emotion that is hard to control.
It is also a sign when we are frustrated or happy.
It is our way of easing pain.
We cry because we want to release our emotions
There are many reasons why we cry...
we cry for sympathy
we cry for our problems
we cry for no reasons
we cry for others
We cry because we want to cry...
Think everyday is an OPPORTUNITY...
Opportunity does not only for carrier or love life or family. Opportunity comes from how we are going to handle our life, to become successful in any aspect. I understand there is no perfect life because we are vulnerable in so many ways.
Many of us forget the opportunity of time...a time to spend with our loved ones, with our peers and the opportunity for new acquaintances and the opportunity of re-assessing our selves.
As they say "opportunity knocks only once"
